Ok, I am officially in shopping heaven. With no clue what to buy my kids for Christmas this year, I turned to babySouk.com (whose cute team have renamed themselves the ‘soukettes’ for the holiday season – an extension of Santa’s North Pole team specially appointed to make the Middle East’s Christmas wishes to come true) and have now done almost all my shopping and am feeling super smug and VERY happy!
On my son’s Christmas list to Santa this year: horses – he is obsessed – and though I think he might have meant real ones (maybe one day!), the Soukettes pointed me towards the gorgeous Apple yard wooden riding school made by Le Toy Van, complete with stables, barn and jumps (the horses/characters are extra but they advised on those too). There’s also a farmyard version that any animal mad little one would love!
As for my little girl, she asked for a dolls house so I was over the moon to find that babysouk.com have created a special Christmas package including a Le Toy Van (those guys make amazing toys) wooden dolls house that’s so beautiful I wish I was small enough to live in it; plus furniture, play mat and little outdoor playground to match for a special discounted price. Now this is exactly what a mummy wants when buying for her kids, the complete package and all the thinking done for you!
With so many new toys and baby products on the market it’s hard to know what to go for – which toys are tipped to be hot for next year and which actually have a shelf life beyond the moment after they’re unwrapped. And scouring the net and the shops for hours is confusing, exhausting and enough to drive you crazy! Well the Soukettes have their finger on the pulse and the ear to the (play)ground and were able to advise me on what to get while also sticking to my budget for friends’ kids and relatives back home. I’ve filled my stockings with a few adorable ‘under AED 100’ options and have bought nieces and nephews some fabulously unique gifts that I just can’t wait to send over. I even managed to buy something for the husband – yup – a beautiful Emma Bridgewater ‘daddy’ mug (also treated myself to the mummy version) and ‘family rules’ poster (because even he needs reminding sometimes!) that will look fab in the kitchen. Oh and mother-in-law (who’s visiting this year) is getting a photography session with the grandchildren all on the Soukettes’ recommendation. Perfect.
And the best part? Having opted for a delivery service, each of my items will arrive beautifully wrapped for FREE ready to go under the tree – as if Santa himself had played a part.
Don’t just take my word for it, watch http://souktalk.babysouk.com/meet-the-soukettes-your-personal-shoppers/ to meet the Soukettes (aka Mrs Holiday Cheer-Leader, Elf Bank Manager, Fairy Godmother and loads more adorable characters) and get inspired and feeling Christmassy!!
I have definitely got guaranteed smiles for Christmas this year (and I’m not just talking about the kids) – thank you babysouk and your wonderful team of Soukettes for getting Christmas all wrapped up for this mummy!
Happy Christmas Shopping
Sam Mother of two! x
